Portsmouth, Va. - A man on a bicycle was hit by a van in Portsmouth.
NewsChannel 3 was first on the scene.
This happened on High Street W and Garland Drive shortly before midnight.
The victim told police his bicycle was hit by a burgundy and gray box van, which caused him to lose control of his bike and crash.
The suspect vehicle did not stop and headed west onto High Street toward Suffolk, police say. The victim had no visible signs of injuries, police say, but did complain of shoulder pain.
Paramedics checked the man out at the scene; he was okay, and rode away on his bike.
