James City County, Va. – A 70-year-old woman was attacked with a hammer in James City County, and now a family member is facing charges.
68-year-old William Hodge is now facing a felony assault charge.
The victim told police last week that Hodge came after her with that hammer — and she had to flee to her neighbor’s house.
The victim had several cuts and lumps on the back of her head.
Police found the suspect still at the house.
Investigators say that he admitted to the attack, but so far, there is no word on what led up to it.
