Man wanted for sexual assault at Norfolk cemetery

Norfolk, Va. – Police are searching for a man after a woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted at a Norfolk cemetery.

On Monday, November 3, 2014 at approximately 3:15 p.m., Norfolk Police responded to the 8100 block of Granby Street at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

A woman reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance described as a black male at the location.

The man was last seen driving a maroon-colored Chevrolet Impala away from the area, according to Corporal Melinda Wray of Norfolk Police.

Detectives are encouraging anyone who may have information about this incident to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887).

Any information that leads to an arrest can earn a reward of up to $1,000.
