Woman beaten during home invasion in James City County

James City County, Va. – A woman was beaten Saturday afternoon during a home invasion robbery, according to police in James City County.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. on November 8 in the 100 block of King William Dr..

According to police, the woman’s  16-year-old stepson let in another teen boy.  Shortly after that, three others entered the home and began looking for guns and valuables.

Two of them went into an upstairs bedroom and began going through jewelry when a 58-year-old woman confronted them.  When she tried to call 911, one of the men put her in a headlock and began punching her repeatedly. She fought back by biting the suspect. She was then knocked to the floor and kicked by the suspect.

All four men left the house taking multiple firearms with them. The 58-year-old woman was transported by ambulance to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Hospital for treatment.
