Suffolk, Virginia - Two people were killed when a pickup truck and a tractor trailer collided head on on Route 58 at Godwin Boulevard shortly before 1:00am Friday.
The accident happened when the Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were pronounced deceased at the scene. The victims have been identified as 35-year-old Jason Wade Baker, who was the driver of the pickup truck, and 26-year-old Rakan Ali Mansour, who was the passenger in the pickup truck.
The driver of the tractor trailer was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
