Tonight was a celebration of innovative teachers in Virginia Beach.
At the Sandler Center on Monday, participants enjoyed great food courtesy of students in the school system's culinary arts program.
NewsChannel 3’s Kurt Williams, the emcee, really enjoyed sampling all of the delicious treats.
This event was for the Virginia Beach Education Foundation, which recognized nearly 60 creative projects from schools across the resort city.
Altogether they were awarded $98, 000 in grant money.
