Man wanted for assaulting Walgreens employee in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. – Police are searching for a man wanted for trying to steal items from a local store, and assaulting a store employee, police tell NewsChannel 3.

It happened on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at approximately 3:15 p.m. at the Walgreens located at 856 South Military Hwy. in Virginia Beach.

The person in the above surveillance images entered the store and attempted to steal items from within the store. When confronted, the suspect assaulted the loss prevention employee, police tell NewsChannel 3.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-35 years of age, 5’9”- 5’11”, and weighs about 225-240 pounds, according to police.

The suspect may possibly be driving a silver van and is believed to be responsible for other larcenies at Walgreens.

This case remains under investigation.
