Colington man faces cocaine, heroin charges

Dare County, N.C. – A Colington man is now facing cocaine and heroin related charges in Dare County, according to Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard.

On November 16, 2014, members of the Dare County Narcotics Task Force were assisting officers from North Carolina Probation and Parole with the search of a probationer’s home in Colington.

Based on evidence discovered during the probation search, Task Force Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the home.

Officers executed the search warrant and were able to seize a quantity of heroin and cocaine, according to Chief Deputy Hoggard. One arrest was made.

Officers arrested 24-year-old Ryan Kendal Baskin of Kill Devil Hills.

Baskin is charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine; and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin.

Baskin was committed to the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond.
