UPDATE: Police say they've charged 26-year-old Dominique D. Cherry of the 6300 block of Wailes Avenue. He is accused of vandalizing the Artist Box Studio on Military Highway. He's been charged with one count of felony destruction of property. He has been released and is no longer in custody.

Norfolk, Va. - Two women and two men are in custody after a police chase in Norfolk ended in a crash on the Northampton Blvd. ramp off I-64 East early Wednesday morning.

Norfolk Police had responded to a report of a possible vandalism to the Artist Box Studio located at 7821 N. Military Highway, shortly after 4:30 this morning.

As police units were responding they observed a possible suspect vehicle leaving the area of the crime, and attempted a traffic stop.

The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, and got onto Interstate 64 eastbound. The officer ended the pursuit due to the suspect vehicle's high rate of speed and turned off the car's lights and sirens.

As officers were exiting the Northampton Blvd eastbound off-ramp, they observed the suspect vehicle had crashed into the guardrail, and four suspects running.

One man was immediately detained at the scene, and the other three suspects were eventually caught. Charges are pending.

There were no injuries reported during the crash.
