Nags Head, N.C.- Drivers had to get through several inches of water on the roads on Wednesday afternoon, but police reported no major flooding on the Outer Banks.
The rain also led to some dangerous conditions for people trying to pier fish.
"Pretty brutal out on the pier and it ran us off. Wind was blowing. It kept getting worse and worse. It was blowing sideways," said Larry Stell. "It was pretty nasty."
