Norfolk, Va. - A Hampton family is spending Thanksgiving at the hospital after a weekend fire destroyed their home and left one of them severely injured.
Dominique Jordan, 27, has been in critical condition in the burn unit of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital since she was rescued from the home in the 1700 block of Carriage Drive.
Meanwhile, the other members of the family have been spending every day by her side.
The home they were supposed to have Thanksgiving in was destroyed in the fire on Sunday.
NewsChannel 3 surprised the family at the hospital with a Thanksgiving meal.
The family was able to enjoy the meal in a conference room just down the hall from Dominique's room. She is scheduled to have surgery on Monday.
