Suspect wanted for armed robbery of Newport News Hardee’s

Newport News, Va. – Newport News Police are searching for a suspect wanted for armed robbery at a local Hardee’s, police tell NewsChannel 3.

On November 29, 2014 at about 6:40 p.m., police responded to the Hardee’s Restaurant at 430 Denbigh Boulevard in reference to a business robbery.

The manager and a clerk told police an unknown man entered the business with a hand gun and demanded cash.

No customers were in the business at the time of the robbery, police say.

The man took cash from the register and ran away toward Denbigh Blvd.

The suspect is described as a black male, light brown complexion, 5’10-5’11, 200 pounds, late 30s, wearing gloves, a black bandana over his face with a white design, blue jacket,
dark pants, white shoes with a black marking on the side, and armed with a black revolver.

The investigation is ongoing.
