Chesapeake, Va. – An odor of gas has been reported at Western Branch Middle School, according to police dispatch.
The call came in at 8:51 a.m. Wednesday morning. Fire units responded, but did not find anything, dispatch says.
The scene has been cleared.
The Fire Department deemed there was no gas leak, according to Kellie Goral of Chesapeake Public Schools. Students and staff were not instructed to evacuate the building and it did not impact the instructional day.
