Norview High student injured during assault

Norfolk, Va. – Police and school officials received reports of an assault in progress in the Norview High School parking lot on Friday December 5, 2014 shortly after 9 p.m., at the conclusion of a basketball game, police tell NewsChannel 3.

Officers arrived on scene and found a 16-year-old Norview High School student suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The teen was transported by Norfolk Fire Rescue to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.

Norfolk’s Detective Division is currently leading this active investigation. At this time, no suspect information has been released and police are asking anyone with any information about this incident to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
