Washington Wizards point guard John Wall had an emotional game Monday night as he led the team to a double-overtime victory over the Boston Celtics.
Wall broke down in tears during a post-game interview, saying he had played the game to honor 6-year-old Miyah Telemaque-Nelson, who passed away after a battle with cancer earlier in the day.
Wall met Miyah in March, spending time with her on the court and helping shoot a video so she could meet Nicki Minaj.

Hi Miyah!!!! Let's see what we can come up with for a pretty little princess. ;)
“It’s a tough day for me. I was really quiet today,” he told Comcast SportsNet before tearing up.
Wall posted a career-high 17 assists, 26 points and seven rebounds in the game.
