Peninsula Health Department searches for dog who bit James City County resident

James City County, Va. – The Peninsula Health District is looking for a dog that bit a man in James City County.

They say the dog is small, is white with tan spots and could be a Fox Terrier or Jack Russell. They say the attack happened on December 10th at around 4:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

This happened on Bridgewater Drive.

The dog was on a walk in the neighborhood at the time. If officials are not able to locate the dog, the victim may have to be treated for the prevention of rabies.

Once found the dog will not be taken away from the owner. Officials say it will be placed on an in-home confinement period for 10 days.
