Suffolk, Va. – Three people were injured on Tuesday after two separate accidents occurred on Route 58 in Suffolk.
The first accident was reported at 12:43 p.m. about a two vehicle crash westbound at the Downtown Suffolk exit. Two lanes were closed while crews worked to clear the scene. Two people were taken to Sentara Obici with non-life threatening injuries.
The second accident was called in at 2:29 p.m. This one happened near Pitchkettle Road in the westbound direction. A driver drove off the side of the road and hit a tree before the vehicle landed on its side. The person had to be rescued from the vehicle by emergency crews. The man was taken to the hospital also with non-life threatening injuries.
Both of these incidents are currently under investigation.
