Norfolk, Va. – The Norfolk Police Department is actively investigating three commercial robberies that occurred over the holiday weekend and is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the possible suspect, police tell NewsChannel 3.
The first incident occurred on December 28 shortly after 1:30 a.m., when a man entered the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 151 W. Little Creek Road. The man brandished a firearm and took various items before fleeing from the store on foot.
That same morning, at approximately 3:00 a.m., police say the man entered another 7-Eleven convenience store located at 3644 Sewells Point Road, brandished a firearm, and took various items before fleeing from the area on foot.
Then, on December 29 shortly after 5:00 a.m., a man matching the same description walked into the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 8489 Chesapeake Boulevard. The man brandished a firearm and took various items before fleeing from the store on foot.
No injuries have been reported during these incidents.
The man has been described as an African-American with a light complexion, 5’6” – 5’8” in height, 150-180 lbs, and may be in his late 20’s – early 30’s. The man has a distinct black mustache and goatee, police say, and was last seen wearing a dark grey knit cap, black jacket, blue hooded sweatshirt, grey or camouflage cargo pants, and may be armed with a handgun.
The Norfolk Police Department is encouraging anyone with any information about this crime to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Information leading to an arrest could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000.
