York County, Va. – York-Poquoson Sheriff's deputies found a married couple shot to death in their home in the 300 block of Monument Court in the Tabb area of York County around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
It appears the husband shot and killed the wife before killing himself, the Sheriff's Office says. The husband called 911 and reported that he had shot his wife before he killed himself.
The husband is identified as Kurt Kurosawa, 62. The wife was Merriam Kurosawa. She was 40.
The couple was reportedly separated and lived in separate homes. The incident occurred in the wife's home, where they had a planned meeting. Deputies think Kurt planned his wife's murder.
They have three children who were not present at the time of the shootings. The children are with other relatives. "It's unfortunate for the kids to lose both their parents," said Mike Cross, a neighbor.
