Williamsburg, Va. – Two people have been charged after an altercation in a Williamsburg parking lot, police tell NewsChannel 3.

On December 30, 2014 around 12:50 a.m., Williamsburg Police responded to the 200 block of Monticello Avenue regarding a disturbance.

Police arrived on scene and spoke to 23-year-old Patricia M. Lane of James City County. Lane told police she was sitting in the parking lot in her vehicle when another vehicle pulled up beside hers. That vehicle was being driven by 47-year-old Walter E. Davis of Williamsburg. When Davis exited his vehicle, police say his door struck Lanes’ vehicle. She then confronted Davis about the incident. Police say both people claim the other assaulted them during the exchange. Lane then scratched Davis’ vehicle, police say. He responded by drawing a handgun and pointing it at Lane.

Davis was arrested at the scene and transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where warrants were obtained charging him with Brandishing a Firearm and Assault.

Warrants were also obtained charging Lane with Assault and Destruction of Private Property. The warrants for Lane have not been served at this time, according to police.
