The U.S. Navy’s guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG-55) returned to Naval Station Norfolk on Wednesday, January 7th after a six month deployment to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
The ship left Norfolk in June to conduct maritime security operations and provide theater security cooperation efforts in the 6th Fleet area.
