Hampton, Va. – Four people have been displaced after a fire broke out inside of a Hampton home on Wednesday.
This happened in the 00 block of Cavalier Road.
Fire crews were called out to the residence at 1:49 p.m. When they arrived, they found smoke coming from the home and the residents were outside.
They were able to put the fire out in about 30 minutes. There was moderate damage to the hallway, attic and there was smoke damage throughout the home.
One person was treated on the scene for a minor injury after escaping through a bedroom window. Two cats are still missing.
The Red Cross is assisting.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
