Newport news, Va. – Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg as he was walking on a Newport News street this morning.
The 21-year-old victim told police he was walking in the 600 block of 12th street when an unknown person shot him.
The man ran to his home on Taylor Ave. and called police.
He was transported to a hospital by medics for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police have no suspect information at this time.
