Selfie-taking man wanted for stealing smartphone in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. – Police are searching for a man wanted for stealing a person’s smartphone in Virginia Beach.

On Thursday, October 30, 2014, at approximately 11 a.m., the victim was shopping at the Halloween Store located at 614 First Colonial Road. The victim laid her phone down in order to check out and forgot to pick it up. As the victim was walking out to the parking lot she didn’t have the phone and returned to the store, but it was gone. Approximately a month later, the victim’s phone uploaded a few “self-portraits” to her iCloud.

Detectives are asking for assistance in identifying the man in the attached “selfies”.
