The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for parts of Hampton Roads and NE North Carolina until 1 p.m.
These areas include: Chesapeake, Norfolk and Virginia Beach in Virginia as well as central Camden, eastern Pasquotank and Currituck counties in North Carolina.
Rainfall amounts are rising close to an inch in several locations across the viewing area.
Flooding can be expected through the early afternoon.
