Newport News, Va. – A shooting in Newport News injured a man and woman and damaged two vehicles late Monday night.
Newport News Police officers responded to the 600 block of Ivy Avenue around 11:00 p.m.
A woman told police she was walking downstairs when she heard gunshots and realized she had been shot. A man was also grazed by a bullet but refused medical treatment.
The woman was taken to a local hospital. Her injury was non-life threatening.
Two vehicles were also damaged by the gunfire.
There are no suspects at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
