Williamsburg, Va. – A Williamsburg man was arrested Saturday after police say he tried to throw a knife at two officers. He had initially called them to complain about his hotel room.

Christopher Todd Jackson, 50, is charged with two counts of assault on a police officer and trespassing.

Police say it all started when Jackson called them around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Jackson told officers he was dissatisfied with his room at the Motel 6 on Richmond Rd.

Police say as officers were trying to help him, he became so verbally belligerent with the hotel staff, that management decided he could no longer stay there.

Police say staff gave Jackson until 3 that afternoon to gather his belongings and leave.

Officers went back to the hotel shortly after 3 to see if he had left.  Police say Jackson was still there, so officers went into the room to take him into custody for trespassing.

At that point, police say Jackson pulled out a knife and prepared to throw it at officers, but they used a Taser on him before he could throw it.

Jackson was taken into custody and transported to the Va. Peninsula Regional Jail.

Police say no one was injured.
