Decorated K-9 police officer passes away in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. - Police have lost one of their own.

Police announced today a decorated K-9 officer named Otto passed away.

The department hailed Otto as a tremendous service dog. He was one of the first six to come to the department in 2004.

His career included more than 30 apprehensions, 150 building searches , and more than 300 drug searches, according to police.

Otto led the department canines in apprehensions, evidence recovery, and drug finds.
