Virginia Beach, Va. – The Command Master Chief Petty Officer  of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 12 has been relieved of his duties by the Navy due to misconduct

Command Master Chief Petty Officer Bryan Bymer Bryan Bymer was relieved by EODMU 12’s commanding officer Cmdr. Ken Kleinschnittger on Friday following an official investigation.

During the investigation Bymer admitted to fraternization that occurred at a previous duty station.

Bymer has been temporarily reassigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group (EODGRU) 2. A new command master chief has yet to be named.
