UPDATE: Pungo Ferry Road is now open to all traffic
Virginia Beach, Va.- Pungo Ferry road is closed to all traffic in the 2800 block until further notice due to an accident. Police say a man was traveling westbound in a Chevrolet truck when he hit a tree after running off the roadway and was pinned in the truck. The man in his 20’s was extracted by the fire department and airlifted to the hospital. His injuries are unknown at this time.
Police are still investigating the accident to determine the cause of the crash.
