Arlington, Va. - A retired US Army Major who served in three wars and survived the Bataan Death March received the Purple Heart earlier this week.
Jesse Baltazar’s World War Two records were lost, so he and his family worked during the last two years to ensure he received the honor.
The 94-year-old said he was touched by the recognition.
