Yorktown, Va. - The Yorktown community gathered Saturday night outside of the home where 17-year-old Dylan Peter's lived, for a candlelight vigil.

Police say Dylan was shot to death Tuesday evening after another teen tried to rob him. They believe it was over drugs.

Candles placed in white paper bags lined Cattail street as a song of healing was played live by a guitarist.

Among the crowd, Dylan's teachers, neighbors, long-time friends, and even strangers from the community who say they wanted to show support.

Dylan's mother addressed the crowd briefly saying while it may be impossible to make sense of what happened, she knows her son is in a better place.

Police have arrested another teen for the murder. He is charged with second degree murder, attempted robbery, and use o a firearm in the commission of a felony.
