Richmond Va. - The estimated jackpot for Wednesday night's Powerball drawing has been increased to $500 million.
More than 49,000 tickets won prizes last Saturday, Feb. 7th for the Powerball Jackpot drawing. But no one managed to match all six numbers.
Three Virginia tickets each won $10,000 in Saturday's drawing. Those tickets were purchased in Portsmouth, Oakton and Winchester.
If one ticket matches all of the six numbers, the winner will have the option of either taking the full $500 million jackpot in 30 annual payments or they can choose a one-time cash option of approximately $304.1 million before taxes.
Virginia Lottery officials expect to sell about 1.5 million Powerball tickets this Wednesday.
Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday starting at 10:59 p.m.
