Man shot during armed robbery in Hampton

Hampton, Va. – Hampton police are searching for suspects wanted in connection with a shooting that happened on Monday, February 9, 2015.

At 9:44 p.m., police received a complaint regarding a shooting in the 1300 block of Terrell Lane. Officers arrived on scene and found a 29-year-old Hampton man who was suffering from a single non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment, police say.

The victim was approached by two suspects, according to police. One of the suspects displayed a firearm and demanded money from the victim. After the victim gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of money, the armed suspect shot the victim. Both suspects then ran away from the scene, police tell NewsChannel 3.
