22 Marines injured during training exercise

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. — 22 Marines were injured Thursday when a fire extinguisher system inadvertently discharged aboard an assault amphibious vehicle at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Fox News reported.

The Marines and sailors of 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment were participating in a training exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, according to the Marine Corps.

The Marines were treated at the base hospital for exposure to Halon gas. Three were held overnight for observation and the rest were released to resume training.
