Newport News, Va. – A man is now recovering after he was ejected from his vehicle after it flipped over in Newport News.
Officials say they were called about this incident at 5:02 p.m. This happened near Main Street and Jefferson Avenue. When crews arrived, they saw a blue 1999 Honda upside down in the left northbound lane of Jefferson Avenue.
They say a green 1995 Van was also involved. The Honda was going southbound on Jefferson Avenue when the driver collided with the van as it came out of the 7-Eleven parking lot near Main Street and Jefferson.
After the accident, the Honda hit a light pole and flipped over. The 24-year-old driver was ejected.
He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the van was not injured.
This accident is still under investigation.
