Greenville, NC- The No. 2 Virginia baseball team swept East Carolina University in their season opener this weekend.
Nathan Kirby, the Cavaliers ace, threw for five strikeouts and just three hits over seven innings.
Virginia returns to Charlottesville to take on Virginia Commonwealth University in their home opener Tuesday.
