Update: Crews have completed repairs on the water main break and service has been restored to the neighborhoods affected.
Chesapeake/Portsmouth, Va. – Several areas are experiencing water service interruptions after a water main break in Chesapeake/Portsmouth. Officials say this was caused by the cold weather.
This happened near the city line in the 1400 block of N. George Washington Highway.
Areas affected include Camelot, Brentwood, and Deep Creek.
The northbound lanes of North George Washington Highway are blocked right now and traffic is being rerouted to the center lane.
Crews are on the scene now trying to repair the problem.
