UPDATE: A four-inch water main break temporarily shut off water between Chapel Street and Tidewater Drive on Friday morning. No one will lose water as crews continue to repair. According to the city of Norfolk, it should be fixed some time Friday morning.
Norfolk, Va. - A water main break has been reported between Chapel Street and Tidewater Drive early Friday morning.
The break, between Chapel Street and Tidewater Drive, closed two lanes westbound on Brambleton Avenue.
The cause has not been confirmed, but Hampton Roads is experiencing several problems due to freezing temperatures.
The City of Norfolk utility crews are currently working to make repairs at the scene. The water is no longer flowing onto the street.
