Chesapeake sushi restaurant damaged by fire

Chesapeake, Va. –  A fire caused significant damage to a restaurant located in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake Friday morning.

Firefighters were called to Yama Sushi Bar  at 109 Volvo Parkway at 8:14 a.m.

Arriving nine minutes later, they found smoke coming from the roof of the one-story strip shopping center in which the restaurant is located.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one business, bringing it under control at 8:39 a.m.  There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
