Chesapeake, Va. – A Chesapeake home was destroyed on Wednesday after flames ripped through the one-story structure.
This happened in the 100 block of Goldcrest Drive in the Indian River section of the city.
Flames were visible from blocks away and when crews got there, they found a detached garage fully engulfed. This fire extended to a nearby one-story home.
Crews were able to put the fire out. Firefighters searched the home and no one was inside.
NewsChannel 3 learned that two people were at home at the time. They were able to get out with their two dogs.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
