Manteo, N.C. – Two men have been arrested by the Dare County Narcotics Task Force on drug charges in Manteo.
Task force members investigating heroin distribution in and around the Wanchese and Manteo area questioned the men in a car in the parking lot of Advance Auto in Manteo. Investigators found heroin and cash inside the vehicle.
21-year-old Jamie James McDonald of Wanchese was charged with Possession with the Intent to Sell/Deliver Heroin, Possession of Heroin and Maintain a Dwelling/Place/Vehicle to keep Controlled Substances.
He is being held at the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $35,000 bond.
21-year-old Brandon Todd Bethel was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held at the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $24,000 bond.
The Dare County Narcotics Task Force is comprised of Dare County Sheriff’s Office, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, and Kitty Hawk Police Departments, The North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division and The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
