Hampton, Va. – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday evening in Hampton.
The shooting happened in the 3400 block of West Weaver Road, off Big Bethel Road near West Mercury Blvd.
Police received calls reporting the shooting around 7:21 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. He remains hospitalized at this time.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. It appears to be an isolated incident.
