It wasn't the ending they were hoping for after what was one of the most exciting games in conference history last night, it felt like momentum may have been with the Tribe coming into this game.

But it started out rough for the Tribe, down ten in just the first three minutes.

Right when they thought they had reached the top, it was another uphill battle. Down by more than 20 at one point, the Tribe continued to fight and rallied behind team leader Marcus Thornton. With two minutes left in the game, Tribe were down 56 to 67, but a timeout gave them some inspiration. Thornton hits a three with 36 seconds left narrowing the deficit to 6.

But the battle came too little too late as the Tribe fell to the Huskies 72-61.

“We felt like it was our tournament to win. Coming in as the top seed, we were pretty confident coming into this tournament winning it all we got to the championship again and it’s obviously a letdown. That we couldn’t come out with the win,” says Thornton.

Although it’s a disappointing ending to such a great season, they haven't played their last game. They won the regular season they get an automatic bid to the nit tournament.
