Former Virginia Beach mayor Meyera Oberndorf, age 74, has died in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Meyera Oberndorf was the 23rd mayor of Virginia Beach, and the resort city’s longest serving mayor. She served as mayor from July of 1988 to January of 2009.
A service will be held at the ballroom at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Monday March 16th.
