Virginia Beach, Va. – The school day for students in Virginia Beach is about to get longer. Monday is the first day that dismissal times will be extended in order to make up for snow days.
Virginia Beach City Public Schools are adding 24 minutes to the school day from Monday, March 16 until May 22. The extra time is needed to make up for the three days students missed from Feb. 25-27.
April 3 will also be used to makeup another snow day. Three other days students missed will not have to be made up.
The new dismissal times are below:
