Carnival Cruises will return to Norfolk in 2016

Norfolk, Va. – Carnival Cruise Lines announced they will offer cruises departing from Norfolk in 2016.

According to Cruise Norfolk, Carnival Sunshine will will depart from Norfolk in 2016 and make trips to the Bahamas, Bermuda and two-day Cruises to Nowhere.

“The world’s largest cruise line has affirmed its commitment to Norfolk,” said Norfolk Mayor Paul D. Fraim. “This year and next, more than 33,000 Carnival cruise passengers will set sail from our state-of-the-art downtown facility.”

The vessel will feature Carnival’s Fun Ship 2.0 experiences including Cloud 9 Spa, Guy’s Burger Joint (Food Network’s T.V. personality), and the Punchliner Comedy Club presented by George Lopez.

The first ship will depart  in June 2016.
