Virginia Beach, Va. - A Virginia Beach man charged with trying to abduct an infant at gunpoint last July has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

Bryan Lowe was arrested last July and charged with attempted abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Police say last July Lowe approached someone in the 2200 block of Locksley Arch and started a conversation before pulling out a gun and trying to take the baby, who was in the back seat of a vehicle at the time.
Lowe’s next review hearing has been set for May.
