Williamsburg, Va. - Two people standing outside of a home in the 200 block of Bethune Drive were shot early Tuesday morning, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Department.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the arm. A 25-year-old woman was shot in the leg. Both were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m. It woke up neighbors who were shocked to find out two people had been shot.

"Normally it's been quiet and definitely nothing like this has happened before," says neighbor Phillip Anderson.

Police blocked off the street on Tuesday morning as they tried to piece together what happened. Officers also checked the IDs of people trying to leave the neighborhood and questioned people near where the shooting happened.

Police are still looking for the shooter. They say there was a fight in the area on Monday and that they're not ruling out that it may be connected to the shooting.
