Virginia Beach, Va. – Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday morning around 6:15 a.m. on I-64 eastbound, east of Indian River Road in Virginia Beach.
The crash involved one vehicle, a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.
State Police say the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, ran off the road and hit the jersey wall, which caused the vehicle to overturn.
The driver, 50-year-old Raymond Tracy Yates, was killed. He was not wearing a seat belt, but was not ejected from the vehicle.
VSP say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
